Beverly
10 minute drive from Long Hill
Where we're tying the knot!
This is where all the weekend's magic is happening. If you have some downtime, we recommend heading over to our venue, Long Hill, to explore the gorgeous botanical gardens and woodland trails. For a morning pick-me-up, grab a cup at our favorite spot, Kid Dream Coffee Company, or a fresh pastry from Bonny Breads. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll down Cabot Street to check out the local shops and restaurants.
Salem
20 minute drive from Long Hill
Historic, vibrant, and a little bit spooky.
Famous for the 1692 witch trials, Salem has an energy that is incredibly fun to explore. Beyond shopping for a Halloween-themed souvenir, art and design lovers should spend an afternoon at the stunning Peabody Essex Museum. If you're into unique curiosities and taxidermy, you have to check out Hive & Forge. When you're ready to unwind, grab a seat in the riverside biergarten at Notch Brewing, one of our absolute favorite spots.
Rockport
20 minute drive from Long Hill
A quintessential New England fishing village.
Sitting right at the tip of Cape Ann, Rockport is incredibly charming, highly walkable, and packed with local art galleries. We love going for walks around Halibut Point State Park, which offers sweeping views of an old granite quarry right against the ocean. While you're wandering around town, be sure to snap a photo of Motif No. 1, the iconic red fishing shack on the wharf!
Ipswich
25 minute drive from Long Hill
Coastal estates and classic New England charm.
Ipswich is a beautiful, historic town just north of our venue. It is home to Castle Hill on the Crane Estate-another spectacular Trustees property. We highly recommend visiting to walk the rolling estate grounds or scheduling a tour of the Great House. If the weather is nice, you can also head right down the road to Crane Beach, or stop in town for some of the area's famous fried clams.
Newburyport
35 minute drive from Long Hill
Boutique shopping along the river.
Set right on the Merrimack River, Newburyport features a beautifully preserved Federal-era downtown packed with independent boutiques and acclaimed restaurants. It's an ideal spot for an afternoon of walking and shopping. If you love hunting for vintage treasures as much as we do, make sure to carve out some time for The Oldies Marketplace-it's one of our favorite antiquing spots in the area.
